Lewis Stokes, 41, reportedly shot his gun into the air after the family of one of the children in the fight approached his home in the 12600 block of Farnell Drive to speak with him around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31, according to Montgomery County Police.
Stokes allegedly pointed the gun at the family before firing it into the air.
Officers ordered those inside of the home to leave after arriving on scene the night of the incident. Witnesses identified Stokes as the shooter and he was taken into custody.
During a search, police found a handgun, a large quantity of controlled dangerous substances and CDS paraphernalia.
Stokes was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with illegal possession of firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of ammunition and reckless endangerment. He is being held without bond.
